Tree Habitat: The Fascinating World Between Roots and Crown
On November 9, 2026, the lecture “Tree Habitat - Discover Hidden Worlds” opens the view to an often-overlooked natural world at the CBW classroom Neustadt in Landshut. The focus is on trees as complex habitats for birds, bats, insects, and many other tree inhabitants.
Species Protection, Tree Care, and Traffic Safety
The event combines vivid expertise with practical examples from tree care. It becomes clear how modern species protection and proper tree inspection interact. Especially exciting is the tension between preserving valuable habitat structures and the requirements of traffic safety.
Discover Hidden Habitats
Between roots, trunk, and crown, diverse retreats emerge. The lecture shows how such structures can be recognized and why they play an important role in preserving biodiversity. The audience's mood maintains an informative and nature-connected character.
Expert Knowledge from Practice
Speaker Richard Kuther is a master gardener, trained nature conservation officer, and FLL-certified tree inspector. As a freelance tree expert and lecturer, he combines practical experience from tree care with solid species protection knowledge. He is also the author of the book “Fantastic Creatures in Trees”.
Jointly Organized by CBW and BUND Naturschutz
The event is organized by the Christian Educational Institute Landshut together with the BUND Naturschutz district group Landshut. Thus, the evening is aimed at nature enthusiasts, gardening and tree care fans, as well as anyone interested in learning more about the tree habitat and regional biodiversity.
