Staying sympathetic and living joyfully: An evening of Franciscan life art
A spiritual evening in the auditorium of Seligenthal Gymnasium invites attendees to reconsider their own life journey. Brother Paulus Terwitte connects Franciscan spirituality with everyday impulses and opens a space for reflection, exchange, and personal encouragement.
Francis of Assisi as inspiration for today
On the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the death of Francis of Assisi, the evening focuses on an attitude that continues to inspire: to live poor and free, cheerful and determined. The focus is on joy without naivety, humility without subservience, and clarity without harshness.
Faith, attitude, and concrete steps
Brother Paulus Terwitte takes guests to the focal points of Franciscan life art. Stories from everyday life, surprising insights, and concrete suggestions for the next day connect religious experience with practical life design. This creates a faith experience that does not remain in pious clichés but encourages inner renewal.
An inspiring speaker
Brother Paulus Terwitte is a Capuchin monk, priest, author, television host, and speaker on issues of ethics and common good transformation. He leads the Capuchin monastery in Münster and is known for his vivid language, pastoral experience, and understandable communication of theological topics. For his commitment, he received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2021.
Spiritual community in Seligenthal
The event is a collaboration between the Seligenthal Abbey and the Christian Educational Institute Landshut. The auditorium becomes a place for focused listening, intellectual stimulation, and communal reflection. It is aimed at religiously interested people as well as anyone looking for a freer, clearer, and more joyful way of engaging with life.
Registration and participation
Due to limited seating capacity, prior registration with the Christian Educational Institute Landshut is required. The lecture will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The participation fee is 10 euros.
Look forward to an inspiring evening filled with Franciscan spirituality, theological orientation, and human closeness. Experience Brother Paulus Terwitte live and take home impulses that resonate in everyday life.
