Sustainable into the Advent Season: Discover, browse, and do good
On Saturday, November 28, 2026, the Kolping Family of St. Nikola invites you to the first sustainable Advent market at the parish center St. Nikola in Landshut. The event is supported by the Women’s Association, members of the Theater Nikola, and the Kolping Family of St. Pius. The market combines a pre-Christmas market atmosphere with reuse, regional commitment, and a social purpose.
Used treasures and special gift ideas
From 10 AM, visitors will find beautiful used Christmas decorations, Christmas books and CDs, children’s books, and toys. In addition, there are all kinds of gift ideas that can be consciously selected, placing sustainable shopping at the forefront. Between well-known favorite pieces and new discoveries, a versatile shopping experience for families, book lovers, and market goers is created.
Homemade specialties and fair enjoyment
Homemade jams, Fairtrade coffee, and Fairtrade chocolate Santas complement the offerings. Starting at 1 PM, coffee and cake invite you to a cozy break in the parish center. The selection combines seasonal Advent atmosphere with conscious consumption and shows how enjoyable a sustainable market visit can be.
Fairy tales, raffle, and group singing
For children and families, members of Theater Nikola will read the fairy tale Mother Holle at 2 PM and 3 PM. There will be various prizes at the nut raffle starting at 1:30 PM. The musical conclusion will be an Advent sing-along for everyone at 4:15 PM with Stefan Stoiber.
Sustainable shopping and supporting social projects
The Advent market stands for lived community, reuse, and local engagement. The majority of the proceeds will benefit the St. Vinzenz children’s home in Landshut. Thus, the market connects the visit to sales booths, encounters, and Advent joy with concrete support for children.
The sustainable Advent market at the parish center St. Nikola offers regional connection, used treasures, fair products, and a family-friendly program. Those who want to give more consciously, give well-preserved items a second life, and simultaneously support a social project will experience a special Advent Saturday in Landshut.
