Playground Classic: Musical Exploration for Children and Youth
What does a viola sound like as a solo instrument? And what do a duck, a cat, a bird, and a wolf have to do in an orchestra? At the family-friendly Playground Classic in the Town Hall’s festively decorated hall, children and teenagers discover classical music with curiosity, imagination, and lots of children's laughter.
When Animals Become Music
Bernhard Werthmann, together with the Landshut Symphony Orchestra, leads a moderated youth concert. Musical motifs and characteristic sounds make it audible how an orchestra can depict animals, characters, and moods. Thus, concentrated listening becomes an exciting learning experience with surprising sound colors.
Experiencing Classical Music in a Child-Friendly and Lively Way
The event invites families to actively perceive music and ask their own questions. Children encounter instruments, orchestral sounds, and musical stories in an age-appropriate manner. This strengthens the development of auditory perception, imagination, and cultural curiosity, without requiring any prior knowledge.
Quality Time in the Historic Town Hall’s Festively Decorated Hall
In the festive ambiance of the Town Hall's hall, a special family experience unfolds: both large and small visitors follow the musical exploration together and experience how individual instruments tell a story in collaboration. The manageable concert duration is particularly suitable for families who want to discover classical music in a relaxed and child-friendly manner.
Safety and Visitor Information
The concert is held as an event for children, teenagers, and families inside the Town Hall's hall.
