A cosmic journey with organ sound, light, and moving images
On November 11, 2026, the Christ Church in Landshut will open its doors for The Registers of the Universe. The free audiovisual multimedia show combines astronomical science, impressive projections, atmospheric light effects, and live organ music into an extraordinary concert experience.
From the Origin of the Universe to Our Earth
The journey takes you from the beginning of the universe through galaxies, stars, and planets to our solar system. Scientific impulses meet precise dramaturgy and expansive visual worlds. This creates an event that conveys complex cosmic relationships in an understandable way while leaving room for wonder.
Organ Music Meets Audiovisual Light Art
In the special acoustics of the Christ Church, the organ unfolds a physically palpable effect. For the Landshut event, Simon Schorre will take on the musical part at the organ. Jana Steuer and Tobias Beuchert will guide the evening, while Leonard Burtscher and Marcus Langejahn shape the light and visual design. Sound, projection, and sacred architecture merge into an atmospheric stage performance.
A New Look at the Blue Planet
The further the gaze opens into the vastness of space, the clearer Earth appears as a unique and fragile habitat. The multimedia show connects astronomical findings with questions of responsibility, future, and the special value of our home planet. Science communication is not only explained but also directly experienced through sound, light, and emotional images.
Science, Music, and Conversation
The project arose in the context of Astronomers for Planet Earth, an international organization of professional astronomers. After the show, there will be an opportunity to engage in conversation with Astronomers for Planet Earth and the Sternenfreunde Furth e.V. The evening thus offers not only a concert experience but also space for exchange about astronomy, research, and the protection of the Earth.
Conclusion: An Evening Between Star Wonder and Earth Proximity
Visitors can expect an intense connection of organ music, light art, scientific impulses, and cosmic imagery. Admission is free, donations are welcome. Those who want to experience the universe not only visually but with all senses will find a special evening full of sound, light, and new perspectives at the Christ Church.
