Poetic Post-Folk in Landshut – the comeback concert is canceled
The comeback concert of Evi Keglmaier and Matze Brustmann originally planned for Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Municipal Music School in Landshut is canceled. The native of Landshut was supposed to return to her musical roots and present poetic, intimate, and unconventional songs together with Matze Brustmann.
Viola, voice, and guitar in musical dialogue
Evi Keglmaier combines viola and singing to create an expressive sound image. Her music thrives on warm string tones, subtle nuances, and an immediate stage performance. Matze Brustmann complements the duo with guitar and voice. Together, they develop a Post-Folk sound that blends melancholic ballads, Americana, experimental singer-songwriter pop, and dry humor.
Intimate songs with surprising sound colors
The announced program promised brain- and heart-burning songs with poetic language, unusual orchestration, and concentrated interplay. In the reduced lineup, the voices, the acoustics of the instruments, and the subtle transitions between melody and sound take center stage. Keglmaier's viola acts not only as an accompanying instrument but as an independent timbre between warm drone, jagged line, and atmospheric surface.
A musical reunion that will not take place
The Municipal Music School is a special place for Evi Keglmaier: this is where her musical development began. The planned concert would have connected this personal return with an extraordinary concert experience. Instead of audience atmosphere, live energy, and immediate stage presence, the cancellation of the announced date stands for October 10, 2026.
Conclusion
The comeback concert of Evi Keglmaier and Matze Brustmann is canceled. Those who appreciate poetic Post-Folk, idiosyncratic song forms, and finely tuned duo music should keep an eye on the further concert dates of both artists.
