Balkan Fire and Great Emotions: Trio Galioti Live in the Rochuskapelle

On October 17, 2026, Trio Galioti transforms the Rochuskapelle in Landshut into a resonant meeting point of Balkan tradition, rock, blues, and Southeast European world music. The concert as part of the Autumn Concerts Paths to Each Other combines virtuoso stage performance with humor, passion, and an intense live atmosphere.

Between Balkan Heat and Musical Openness

Galioti represents music that transcends boundaries. Original compositions and well-known pieces from the Balkans encounter a vibrant orchestration where traditional soundscapes merge with modern impulses. Guitarist Boris Golubović from Montenegro connects the sound of his homeland with elements of rock and blues. His distinctive playing style gives the concert rhythmic tension and a powerful, earthy sound foundation.

Guitar, Harmonica, and an Extraordinary Voice

Ansgar Niemöller is one of the few harmonica specialists for Southeast European folk, Klezmer, and Gypsy swing. His sonic versatility enriches the trio with warm, expressive lines and surprising rhythmic accents. Angela Sanja Kassiani from Belgrade complements the ensemble with her trained opera voice. She has sung for Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest and brings great emotional depth as well as fiery southern rhythms to the stage performance.

An Concert Experience Full of Emotion and Humor

The name Galioti refers to the rowers in the belly of a ship and also to jokers. This double meaning aptly describes the character of the trio: The musicians work together precisely, while remaining playful, open, and approachable. Ballads alternate with Balkan heat, finely crafted transitions meet energetic passages. In the special acoustics of the Rochuskapelle, a direct sound emerges that makes every nuance of singing, guitar, and harmonica audible.

Autumn Concerts Paths to Each Other

The concert musically crosses countries and styles. Balkan music, world music, folk, Klezmer, Gypsy swing, rock, and blues meet in a program that makes cultural diversity audible rather than explaining it. The audience's mood thrives on this interplay of virtuoso synchronization, spontaneous energy, and great melodies.
