Bierparadies Altdorf | Opening Hours & Menu

In the south of the Lower Bavarian city of Landshut lies the Bierparadies Altdorf, a place that combines traditional tavern culture, generous beer garden flair, and flexible event spaces all in one location. On the spacious grounds at Moosstraße 41, a rustic tavern in hut style, an independent Tyrolean hut, and a versatile festival hall come together. Especially in the warm months, the large beer garden with its numerous seats and hearty snacks shapes the atmosphere; in the cooler season, the fireplace in the parlor provides cozy warmth. Families appreciate the dedicated children's playground, while clubs and companies value the easy accessibility on the outskirts of town and the very good parking options right at the entrance. Those planning a celebration will find different rooms and facilities for both small and larger occasions. At the same time, the team offers fixed service hours for warm meals and snacks and informs seasonally about the opening of the beer garden. The following sections compile the most important questions and answers regarding opening hours, food offerings, directions and parking, as well as the bookable areas Tyrolean Hut and Festival Hall, supplemented by notes on photos, reviews, and possible events.

Opening Hours, Season Start, and Weather Considerations

The opening hours at Bierparadies Altdorf follow a clear seasonal model based on weather conditions and operations in the beer garden. From early April to the end of October, summer hours apply. During these months, the kitchen and service open from Wednesday to Friday at 5 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday already at 11 AM. This makes the visit suitable for a late lunch with the family or an early dinner after a bike ride through the Landshut district. For guests who want to stay into the evening hours, it is important to know that the warm kitchen is open until 9 PM; afterwards, snacks are served until 10 PM. In the cooler season from early November to the end of March, the house operates in winter mode. Then it is open from Thursday to Saturday at 5 PM; Sunday is a day off, as are Monday to Wednesday. This schedule provides planning security for regular meetings, club evenings, or gatherings with friends before the weekend.

A special feature in the warm season is the beer garden operation. Since it depends on the weather, the team additionally announces the beer garden opening in summer via Facebook. This helps regular guests and day-trippers coordinate their visit with sunny days. Those who are unsure can also make a quick phone inquiry. Regardless of the season, the established kitchen regime with clear times applies: warm meals until 9 PM, snacks until 10 PM. This allows for a cozy evening with friends or family to be reliably planned without time pressure. Furthermore, for private parties and events, individual time slots are possible by arrangement, especially if the festival hall or Tyrolean hut is booked. This flexibility makes Bierparadies equally interesting for birthdays, club parties, or a small wedding in a rustic setting.

To help guests time their arrival appropriately, it is worth taking a look at the seasonal calendar. Summer time is from early April to the end of October, winter time from early November to the end of March. This classification takes into account both the influx in the beer garden and the more reliable planning in the winter months. Those who particularly want to enjoy the beer garden should ideally orient themselves to the afternoon and early evening hours on weekends when the sun shines most beautifully on the large outdoor area. For families, the earlier opening hours on Saturday and Sunday are ideal, as lunch, playground time, and a relaxed return journey can be well combined.

Menu, Kitchen, and Snacks at a Glance

The culinary profile at Bierparadies Altdorf is based on proven Bavarian tavern cuisine and a hearty snack tradition. The menu is intentionally kept clear so that the classics can be offered consistently in good quality. Warm dishes are available until 9 PM, providing ample time for a relaxed dinner. After that, snacks continue until 10 PM. This concept is typical for beer gardens and fits the idea that one can stop by without haste after a bike ride, an outing with children, or a meeting with friends. Popular options include Bavarian classics and well-prepared snack boards. Guest quotes that the house summarizes on its website repeatedly mention a tasty curry sausage, a good roast pork, and cold dishes that are particularly suitable for the warm months. Due to the focus on regional, down-to-earth dishes, the waiting time is typically pleasantly short, which visitors appreciate just as much as the friendly service team.

For families with children, visiting on weekends starting at 11 AM is recommended, as it begins more quietly and the little ones can use the playground after eating. Those dining with a larger group should ideally call ahead with special requests, especially if allergies or intolerances need to be considered. The team is set up for groups and helps select a suitable meal time so that the group can start together. The food offerings can also be individually adjusted for private parties in the Tyrolean hut or festival hall. Since the warm kitchen closes at 9 PM, it is advisable to align the food service for larger celebrations with this time frame and then transition into a sociable snack mode.

The drink selection fits the characteristics of a classic Bavarian beer garden: refreshing beers, non-alcoholic options, and hot drinks in the cooler months. Those planning a celebration can usually coordinate a selection for the serving, especially if the Tyrolean hut is booked as an independent location with its own bar. For day guests, the combination of reliable kitchen hours and snacks until 10 PM is convenient, as one can still find a hearty foundation later in the evening. Those who want to get inspired in advance can use the information on the website, which also refers to a menu. Seasonal adjustments are common, so it is advisable to check the current information shortly before the visit.

Renting the Tyrolean Hut and Festival Hall: Equipment, Use, and Booking

In addition to the beer garden and tavern, the two independent event areas are a strong argument for Bierparadies Altdorf. The Tyrolean hut is understood as a closed hut setting with a bar, sound system, and lighting effects. It is ideal for private occasions such as birthdays, small weddings, Christmas parties, or club anniversaries. The capacity is up to 55 guests, providing enough space for a personal celebration without losing atmosphere. A plus point in summer is the large grassy outdoor area that directly adjoins the hut. This allows children to play while adults celebrate within sight, or parts of the program can be moved outdoors in good weather. The combination of rustic interior and green outdoor space makes the hut particularly flexible.

The festival hall on the premises is the larger option for celebrations and events. Its equipment includes a DJ system, lighting system, dance floor, and several lighting effects. For comfort during transitional periods, there is an oil heater. A cozy bar is integrated, and there is a winter garden as a tent extension, which is specifically designed for smokers or can be used as a space for cold-warm buffets. Adjacent to the festival hall is a green area with a campfire site and seating arrangements. A nighttime campfire creates a unique atmosphere and rounds off summer parties, club celebrations, or corporate events atmospherically. The festival hall is thus predestined for weddings, corporate parties, milestone birthdays, or club events where food, music, and dancing play a role. The house does not specify a fixed seating capacity for the festival hall; however, based on experience, different-sized groups can be comfortably accommodated depending on the seating arrangement.

Booking both areas is straightforward through the known contact channels. Those who want to secure a desired date should inquire early, especially for Saturdays in the summer months. A brief on-site check is advisable to plan seating, decoration, and schedule. The team assists with questions such as delivery, buffet setup in the winter garden, use of the sound system, or organizing a dance floor. For the Tyrolean hut, it is advisable to plan with the existing systems for music and lighting. In the festival hall, it is worth coordinating sound and lighting needs depending on the band or DJ. Since the kitchen adheres to fixed times, food services and buffet openings should be arranged so that warm components are served within kitchen hours. Snacks can easily extend the evening.

Directions, Parking, and Location in Altdorf near Landshut

The journey to Bierparadies Altdorf is uncomplicated. The address Moosstraße 41, 84032 Altdorf leads directly to the premises on the southern outskirts between Landshut and the market Altdorf in the Landshut district. Drivers benefit from the very good parking situation: a large, free parking lot is designed for about 100 cars, and there are also bus parking spaces directly in front of the entrance, also free of charge. This is particularly practical for club trips, travel groups, or a company outing, as arrival, disembarkation, and later re-boarding can be organized without detours. Those arriving by bike will find pleasant paths thanks to the flat accessibility from the Landshut urban area; many visitors combine their beer garden visit with a small bike tour.

For orientation in the area, well-known reference points help. Within walking distance is the Landshut Park shopping center, and the shooting range of the Hubertus shooters and the Kindler Reha Fit gym are also nearby. These reference points facilitate navigation for those unfamiliar with the area and signal that Bierparadies is located in a well-developed but still green section. Those who prefer navigation coordinates can refer to the common map services that lead to the location on Moosstraße. For guests with limited mobility, it is important to know that wheelchair access is indicated as limited by external map services. A quick call before the visit clarifies individual needs, such as regarding level access, path widths, or proximity to seating areas. Due to the large open space on the premises, suitable places can usually be found, especially in the beer garden.

For evening events or celebrations, it is advisable to plan the arrival so that one uses one of the parking spaces near the entrance to minimize later walking distances. Bus groups can disembark directly at the entrance; the designated bus spaces make maneuvering easier. For delivery vehicles, such as bands, DJs, or caterers for additional components, it is advisable to time the delivery in advance with the team so that the stage and dance floor can be set up without haste. Guests who rely on public transport should check the current line schedules in Landshut and Altdorf, as frequencies and routes may vary depending on the time of day and season. The location on the outskirts of town allows for good planning of arrivals and departures, and the generous space on site prevents bottlenecks when larger groups arrive.

Beer Garden, Seating, and Family Friendliness

The beer garden is the heart of the Bierparadies in the summer months. It offers space for around 300 guests and invites with shady areas, classic beer garden furniture, and short paths to the bar to linger. The culinary line is oriented towards the Bavarian beer garden ideal: refreshing beers, non-alcoholic drinks, and a mix of warm dishes and cold snacks. The advantage of clearly regulated times lies in reliability. Warm kitchen until 9 PM means that even visitors who arrive only in the early evening can still order at leisure. After that, snacks until 10 PM provide a solid foundation to end the evening comfortably. Many guests appreciate the mix of family-friendliness and efficient service; the house points to numerous positive feedbacks highlighting the well-maintained premises, friendly team, and reasonable price-performance ratio.

For families, the playground is a real added value, as it is located within the premises, allowing for short distances. While the children swing or climb, the parents can sit together in sight. Those arriving with strollers will find ample space between the furniture in the outdoor area. Tip for hot days: A spot in partial shade increases comfort during longer stays. Groups, in turn, like to combine their beer garden visit with the use of event spaces. For example, a milestone birthday can start in the Tyrolean hut with reception and music, while the company moves to the beer garden in the evening. The reverse works just as well if one dines in the beer garden first and then celebrates in the hut or festival hall. The spatial proximity makes the process flexible and easy to plan.

Those who want to get an impression in advance can use the house's photo galleries. They show the beer garden with its seating areas and give an impression of the design of the parlor, the Tyrolean hut, and the festival hall. This makes it easier to find the suitable seating or the optimal process for a celebration. For visitors without a specific event goal, a glance at the seasonal notes is often enough to choose the perfect day for a visit. Especially on weekends, it is advisable to come earlier when traveling with children or later in the afternoon when one wants to enjoy the low sun. The clear structure of beer garden, parlor, and event spaces offers enough alternatives should the weather turn.

Events, Photos, and Reviews: Stay Updated

Bierparadies Altdorf sees itself as an experiential gastronomy for day guests and as a reliable partner for private and corporate celebrations. Open, publicly advertised events are not continuously listed as an annual program but are announced seasonally. Relevant information can be found on the house's website; for the beer garden operation, the operators also explicitly refer to Facebook as an additional information channel. Those looking for a public event should therefore check the mentioned channels for current announcements before a planned visit. For New Year's Eve or carnival times, there is no blanket, annually identical event. Instead, the Tyrolean hut and the festival hall are excellent for hosting a private New Year's party, a club carnival, or a corporate celebration. This allows for date, time, music, and food to be tailored precisely to the group.

Those seeking firsthand impressions will find them in the gallery. There, pictures show the beer garden in summer, the rustic parlor, the separate hut, and the festival hall with dance floor and lighting. These visual impressions are complemented by summarized guest voices on the homepage, praising the well-maintained premises, friendly staff, short waiting times, and balanced price-performance ratio. Recurring keywords include delicious food, a clean, spacious outdoor area, and family-friendly character. Such feedback helps especially new guests who are still considering whether a detour from the city center of Landshut is worthwhile. The location on the edge of the Landshut urban area, the proximity to well-known reference points, and the very good parking options speak for uncomplicated planning, even at short notice.

For event organizers, three points are particularly helpful: First, the equipment of the festival hall with DJ system, lighting, and dance floor can be used without significant additional effort, making work easier for bands or DJs. Second, the winter garden as a tent extension offers the possibility to separate smokers or set up a buffet without blocking the dance floor. Third, the adjacent green area with a campfire site creates an atmosphere that guests rarely experience in this form. Especially summer evenings gain character because the celebration does not end abruptly when the music gets quieter, but rather fades out outside by the fire. Combining these possibilities with the clear kitchen times results in a smooth process: reception in the outdoor area, warm food until 9 PM, followed by dancing and sociable gatherings with snacks. This planability is a significant feature of the location.

I've lived here for almost 10 years but only stumbled upon this place on Google Maps (the kids were hungry). What can I say... Amazing atmosphere, an incredibly beautiful beer garden, super friendly service (would love more of that!!!), drinks and food were on the table in under 20 minutes (schnitzel, fries, cheese spaetzle, and for dessert Kaiserschmarrn). The food is good to very good. Price-performance is more than TOP!!! We'll be back!!!

We celebrated my 50th birthday there with almost 100 people and it was amazing! Whether it was preparation, food, or service, it was just fantastic! We received great advice beforehand and every wish was anticipated. The same went for the party, the staff was super on the ball, very friendly, and accommodating. The food was extremely delicious and everything was freshly prepared! We also received 100% positive feedback from our guests… "best roast beef they've ever had" etc. A heartfelt thank you to the whole team again for a wonderfully successful, grand evening, you guys are awesome!!
